Local Priorities
Yeovil has some lovely open spaces!
Sometimes we can forget that we have some incredible greenery right in the centre of the town so, lets enjoy them.
Ninesprings, Yeovil recreation ground and Sidney Gardens are just a few of them!
Managed locally by Yeovil Town Council and dedicated community groups, the neighbourhood policing teams can be seen regularly patrolling these areas to make sure you have a ‘sense of safety’.
Sometimes these areas of natural beauty can be used for inappropriate behaviours which can make those enjoying the spaces feel anxious.
The vast majority of the community who enjoy walking their dogs or going for a walk/run embrace these areas and take ownership so don’t be afraid to report anything and say hello to the Neighbourhood Polic Team when you see them.
Issued: 3 Jun 2026

PCSO's Chelsea and Mandy are actively working to address these issues and are exploring appropriate interventions.
To support our efforts, we are asking for help from the public. If you have witnessed or been affected by this behaviour, please report it to us. Your information is vital in helping us gather the necessary evidence and take effective action.
Thank you for your continued support in keeping our community safe.
